I am an illustrator from Phoenix, Arizona with a Children’s Book Illustration Certificate from the University of California, San Diego Extension. Though I reside in the desert, I never stop longing to explore the ocean and have enjoyed more than 20 scuba diving excursions with my family throughout the Caribbean and hope to add to that number over my lifetime. I’m a huge fitness enthusiast and I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. I am happy to be able to incorporate my knowledge of anatomy and movement in my illustrations. Prior to illustration I worked in healthcare as a caregiver and later a personal trainer with seniors and older adults with mobility disorders, and I have many fond memories from those experiences. I enjoy the entire process of creating something magical starting with a blank canvas. I find inspiration for my illustrations from everything in the world around me and most certainly my own children and life experiences.
